2016

Our greatest opportunity and responsibility is our personal influence.

Tentative Dates: Thursday, March 10 through Monday, March 21.

Note:  These dates include the last day of classes before spring break and the first day of classes after spring break.  By missing two days of classes, more work can be accomplished and better air transportation can be scheduled.

Besides the intense work and rewards of helping people experience Christian love, there is time for some relaxation:  shopping, sightseeing at historical and nature sites, and being irradiated on the beach!

How can I Help?

From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.
Arthur Ashe

Needs:
  • People (limit 30)
    • medical or nursing background for assessments and pharmacy
    • spanish speaking people to translate and direct crowds
    • theology majors for evangelistic and other programs
    • musicians for programs
  • Monetary Support
    • money for medical supplies
    • funds to purchase give-aways to the people (toothbrushes, soap, small toys for the children, etc.)
    • transportation expenses
    • food and housing in the Domincan Republic
  • Most Important Support
    • prayers for safety
    • ask God for the trip to be successful
Cost:
Preliminary amount: $1000 for each participant

Each participant is asked to raise this amount via:

      helping in fund raising activities
      making personal contributions
      requesting donations

The funds are used for air fare, meals, lodging, local transportation, medical supplies, craft items, and other expenses.

The monies raised by the participants are not sufficient to cover the entire costs of medical supplies, craft activities, and other items distributed to the people of the Dominican Republic. Some additional funds are needed for the routine expenses of each year's mission trip. Even more funds are needed for major projects such as building a church or clinic facility.

Even if you are unable to participate by traveling with the group, you can participate by providing much needed support. Your prayers and donations are needed and greatly appreciated.

It's nice to know that our work here really does make a difference.
I pray that God will bless the people and that His gospel will be spread quickly.
